Croatian National Team of Bologna Experts
The Croatian National Team of Bologna Experts was established in 2011 in order to provide support for the implementation of the Bologna Process in the Republic of Croatia, as well as to inform the public about the Bologna Process and other initiatives and programs of the European Union in the field of higher education. The activities of the Bologna Expert Team are aimed at engaging the public in dialogue about the Bologna Process in Croatia and include, but are not limited to, the following:
Organization of conferences, round tables, seminars and other relevant events concerning the implementation of the Bologna Process in Croatia;
Advising higher education institutions about higher education reform efforts;
Aiding higher education policymaking;
Promotional activities;
Participating in conferences and seminars at the European Union level.
The Croatian National Team of Bologna Experts was established within the framework of the European Union project „National Teams of Bologna Experts“, which is a part of the Lifelong Learning Programme 2011-2013. The work of the Expert Team is for the most part financed by the European Commission. The mandate of experts is from July 2011 until December 2013 and the experts were nominated through a Decision of the Ministry of Science, Education and Sports following a public tender. A Bologna Expert Team Selection Committee conducted an evaluation of all received applications in accordance with previously-set criteria. A proposal for the nomination of Expert Team members was sent by the Ministry of Science, Education and Sports to the Rector's Conference and Council of Polytechnics and Colleges, for approval. The Agency for Mobility and EU Programmes supports the work of the Croatian National Team of Bologna Experts. Its activities are also coordinated together with the Agency for Science and Higher Education and the Ministry of Science, Education and Sports.
